Q: Why should I pay more for this shrimp when I can buy frozen shrimp at a much lower price?
A: Amitris shrimp are locally produced and fresh. Most frozen shrimp come from other countries that farm their shrimp in very dense ponds where the rules (for the antibiotic, hormone, and chemical) are not regulated. You’re buying cheap shrimp, but those imported shrimp are from thousands of miles away and have been long-frozen. It is huge in terms of taste and health.
Q: How Can I Fix Fresh Shrimp?
A: The preparation is easy and quick! The Vannamei shrimp do not need to be removed and should be cooked with the shell on for the best flavor. You can find the best mouth-watering recipes in our blog section!
Q: Am I buying live shrimp?
A: No. When you order your shrimp are hand-picked and placed in an ice water bath, which they do not survive. That’s the most humane way to cut them, and it also ensures that you have a fresh product ready to take home.
